MARSHFIELD – The Columbus girls basketball team claimed their first win during the season opener on Nov. 13 at Columbus High School, beating Rib Lake 57-27.

The Dons were led by Addison Baierl with 13 and Maren Seefluth with 10. Baierl also grabbed eight rebounds.

This was the first game for Ron Wilczek, as the girls head coach. Wilczek coached the Columbus boys between 2003-2005, posting a record of 21-22 over two seasons, before being replaced by current coach Joe Konieczny.
