November 1
Door knob mystery
At 9:27 p.m., a 34-year-old Marshfield man reported that an unknown male had come to his residence around 2:30 p.m. that day and spoke with the babysitter. The unknown male told the babysitter that he was there to replace a door knob on the garage service door. The Marshfield man had not contacted anyone to do so. The truck was described as a dark blue or black truck with ladders and a sticker of a hand on the driver side back window.
Multiple assaults reported
At 9:51 p.m. a Marshfield woman called requesting a welfare check on her 18-year-old sister. Police located the 18-year-old woman and her 19-year-old boyfriend. The 19-year-old man was arrested and a charge of strangulation has been requested though the Wood County DA’s office.
A noisy, wanted woman
At 10:42 p.m., an anonymous noise complaint was called in. Police went to investigate and found a 34-year-old Marshfield woman who had several warrants out for her arrest. The woman was taken into custody and transported to Wood County Jail.
November 2
Neighborly concern
At 1:36 p.m., a Marshfield man and woman called to report that they had not seen or heard from their neighbor since the prior afternoon. Police arrived and were able to gain access to the apartment from the man’s guardian, as well as the apartment manager. The man was in the apartment and was found breathing, but unresponsive. Ambulance services were called.
November 3
Damage done to parked car
At 8:07 a.m., a 21-year-old Marshfield man reported that while his truck was parked overnight on the street, the truck’s taillight was pulled out, along with other damage near that area. Police investigated and determined the damage could have been cause by a bicycle that was traveling too close to the truck. The man did not have any suspects or notice anything suspicious in the area during the night.
November 4
Driver plays possum
At 3:12 a.m., a male was pulled over. During the traffic stop, a Marshfield Police officer witnessed the driver of the vehicle jump into the back seat and then appeared unconscious. The driver was transported to the medical facility, cleared, and arrested for second offense OWI.
