MARSHFIELD – A Marshfield business held a special event to benefit a local seventh grader that had customers lined up down the 400 block of South Central Avenue.

The Next Generation – Midwest Tattooers hosted a tattoo event Oct. 31 that gave customers a discount on the price of a tattoo, with proceeds going to the Morgan Gorst Benefit. Morgan is a seventh grader at Spencer Middle School, who has been diagnosed with cancer of the brain.

Patrons flocked to the shop at 440 S. Central Ave., Marshfield, to take advantage of the special for a good cause. The event began at 10 a.m., and by 1 p.m. 51 customers had been signed up, forcing the business to pause reservations; the business ended with 100 by the close of the event.

Four local artists volunteered their time to help the business with the benefit.
