Emery G. Hanson

Emery G. Hanson, 76, Marshfield, Town of Richfield, passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 25, 2018.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, October 29 at Rembs Funeral Home with a visitation from 9:00 am until service time. Pastor Mark Krueger will officiate.

Emery was born on October 23, 1942 to Ted and Etola Koplien Hanson of Milladore. He lived and farmed on the family farm until 1964. He was married on May 16, 1964 to Joanne Strack, moved to southern Michigan, worked in numerous mobile home factories, moved back to Marshfield, and then worked at Felker Brothers until he retired from there after 27 years. He also did carpenter work, which was a great passion of his life, as well as John Deere tractors, the Green Bay Packers, and his dog, Libby.

He is survived by his wife, Joanne, sons, Jerry (Angie Voight) and Terry, both of Marshfield, step-grandchildren, Kasey and Jim Scholl of Watertown, SD, Tony, Tyler, Hannah Johnson of Depere, and 5 great grandchildren. He is further survived by his sister, Velma Wolfe, sisters-in-law, Suzan Hanson and Sharon Hanson, brothers-in-law, Joel and Carla Strack, Jim and Dawn Strack, both of Marshfield, Jeff and Connie Strack of Weston, and numerous special nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death is a daughter-in-law, Vicki Hanson, his parents, brothers, Clifford, Roger, and Hjalmer, sisters, Joyce, Shirley and Lorretta, brothers-in-law, Bill Dibble and Marvin Hildebrandt.
