Arcadia sneaks by Columbus in soccer semifinals

MARSHFIELD – The Columbus soccer team saw their season come to an end following WIAA Division 4 sectional semifinal competition at Griese Park on Oct. 25.
After 90 minutes of regulation play and two 10-minute overtimes, the match went into a shootout. Following the first five shooters, the teams were tied 3-3, and another round began. After the next four shots, the teams were tied, before Arcadia’s final shooter made the 10th shot. An Arcadia 6-5 shootout score gave the team a 1-0 win.
Columbus finished the season at 15-5-1.

Kellen Heinzen made 17 saves for Columbus.
