Barbara C. Becker, 76, was called to heaven on Monday, October 15, 2018, surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 1208 West 14th. Street, Marshfield on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Daryn Bahn officiating. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, 1010 East Veterans Parkway, Marshfield, on Sunday, October 21, 2018 and one hour before the time of service at the church on Monday. Pallbearers will be son-in-laws, Chris Machtan and Tom Konrardy, grandson Caden Machtan and nephews Greg, Adam and John Becker.

Barbara was born to Arthur and Martha (Doms) Kopp on December 12, 1941 in Chicago, IL.  Barb’s family then moved to Spencer, WI where she graduated high school.

In 1963 Barb met the love of her life, Donald Becker, and they married on August 22, 1964.   Don and Barb lived in Marshfield their whole married life and raised 3 beautiful daughters.

Barbara worked many years in the office at Berg Equipment Company as a bookkeeper.  She later worked at Lad & Lassie Playschool where she felt blessed being able to take care of her grandchildren.

Barbara enjoyed scrapbooking and camping with family and friends.  She spent many hours working on her genealogy and was always asking family for updated information.  Barb’s greatest joy though was spending time with her grandchildren.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband, of 54 years, Donald Becker and their children and grandchildren Lori Machtan: Melissa, Lisa (Tom) Konrardy: Emily, and Peggy (Chris) Machtan: Gabrielle and Caden.  She is further survived by brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Martha Kopp, parent-in-laws Arthur and Viola Becker and brother-in-law Conrard Becker.

Barbara was one of the strongest women we will ever know.  She battled with MS for 40+ years.  She was also a breast cancer survivor.

The family would like to thank the hospital staff at UW Madison Hospital and Marshfield Medical Center Palliative Care Unit.
