Panthers suffer first loss

PITTSVILLE – The Pittsville Panthers are no longer among the ranks of the undefeated football teams in central Wisconsin. The Panthers suffered their first loss of the season Oct. 5, losing to Almond-Bancroft 34-7 in Pittsville, in a matchup of Central Wisconsin Conference opponents. Beau Merritt led Pittsville with 110 rushing yards and a touchdown. The Panthers wrap up the regular season Oct. 12 at Flambeau.
