September 26
Fighting in front of store
At 6:11 p.m., an off duty deputy reported a verbal argument happening in front of a Marshfield department store. When the police officer arrived on scene, it was discovered that the 39-year-old Marshfield male involved in the argument was to have no contact with the 41-year Marshfield woman he was with. The man, who is on probation, was arrested and taken to the Wood County Jail.
September 27
Jewelry store damage is cause for alarm
At 1:27 p.m., Police officers responded to an alarm at a Marshfield jewelry store. Upon arrival officers found a broken window and damage to a display case. Investigation is ongoing.
Broken car window
At 3:52 p.m., a student at the high school reported that while her car was parked in the school’s parking lot during the school day, the rear window of her vehicle had been damaged. There are no suspects at this time and officers are looking at video of the parking lot to determine the cause.
Man reports theft
At 4:50 p.m., a 65-year-old Marshfield man reported that a 21-year-old Marshfield man had stolen over $1,125 from his residence between April 24-Sept. 27, 2018. Police are investigating this as the man was able to tell police who had stolen the money.
September 29
Man attacks police vehicle
At 12:08 a.m., an employee of a Marshfield night club called police to report a disturbance at their club. A 24-year-old intoxicated male refused to leave when asked. When police officers arrived the man attacked one of the police vehicles and resisted arrest. The man was taken to the medical center for showing signs of excited delirium. Once the man was medically cleared, he was booked and eventually released to a relative.
September 30
Argument leads to an arrest
At 2:52 p.m., a 38-year-old Marshfield man reported that two individuals were having a verbal argument outside his residence. Police officers were able to locate the individuals. A 20-year-old Marshfield woman was found to have violated a no contact order. She was also found to be in possession of THC and was transported to Wood County jail.
