Kollmansberger pleads innocent

MARSHFIELD – A Marshfield man accused of his seventh OWI will go to trial in Marathon County.
Kevin Kollmansberger made a court appearance Sept. 26, where he entered an innocent plea to charges of OWI and operating a vehicle with a revoked license. A judge then found enough evidence to proceed with the case.
The case against Kollmansberger stems from an incident in mid-September involving a chain-reaction crash near the intersection of County Highways P and F in Marathon County. The 51-year-old was allegedly swerving in and out of traffic before rear-ending the last vehicle in a line of cars that were stopped at a stop sign, causing a series of rear-end crashes.
Kollmansberger’s license had been indefinitely suspended after failing to comply with a driver safety plan.
A judge set a pre-trial conference for Nov. 19. If found guilty, Kollmansberger could serve up to 12 and a half years in prison.
His previous OWI convictions occurred between 1994 and 2009.
