WAUSAU – A 47-year-old Stratford man was sentenced to five years in prison and five years extended supervision for his seventh operating while intoxicated (OWI) charge.
On March 24, James S. Glenn was located sitting in the passenger seat of a ditched vehicle. According to court records, Glenn claimed that another individual was driving and went to seek assistance.
Authorities say that they were unable to locate any others in the vicinity and that there were no reports in the area of anyone needing help.
On March 26, Glenn was charged in Marathon County Court with a felony count of OWI —his seventh OWI since 1994 – with prior convictions in Wisconsin, New York, and Illinois.
Glenn was sentenced on Sept. 21. Court records say the sentencing includes a ban on alcohol use and a two-year driver’s license revocation.
