MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Honor Walk will recognize United States Senator John McCain with a banner which will be hung Aug. 31.

McCain served in the United States Navy and was a prisoner of war in Vietnam. He was a state senator for Arizona from 1987 until his time of death. McCain ran in the 2008 presidential election, in which he lost to Barack Obama.

The Honor Walk banner honoring John McCain will be hung in front of Mitten’s Home Appliance on the corner of Second and Central Avenue through Veteran’s Day.

A guide listing all of the Honor Walk banners is available at the MACCI office, 700 S Central Ave, Marshfield.
