WISCONSIN RAPIDS – A Marshfield man has pleaded guilty to four counts of possessing child pornography.

Jared Teche, 42, of Marshfield has pleaded guilty in Wood County Court to four counts of child pornography. His pleas were entered Aug. 24. He then pleaded innocent to the remaining six charges of child pornography. Teche was also charged for soliciting a child for prostitution, which has been dismissed.

Teche was arrested in January after he reportedly responded to a Craigslist ad posted by an undercover officer. The ad listed two girls – ages 8 and 11 – for sexual favors. Teche allegedly responded and offered to meet the younger girl for $400, submitting a naked picture of himself.

The court has ordered a pre-sentencing investigation report to determine Teche’s final sentencing.
