June (Woldt) (Telschow) Umnus, 83, died peacefully at home on the morning of August 20, 2018 with her daughters by her side. Following her diagnosis of mesothelioma in May 2017, she thanked God for each and every day and made the most of each moment.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, August 27, 2018 at St. John (High Steeple) Lutheran Church, Town of Wien, Marathon County, with Rev. Jeffrey Lambrecht officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. The visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Sunday at Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield, and from 10:00 am on Monday until service time at St. John’s Lutheran Church.

June was born on June 22, 1935 to Leo and Anna (Landwehr) Woldt. She was united in marriage to Donald Telschow on August 13, 1955 and he died on November 23, 1978. She is survived by their three daughters, Peggy (Dennis) Haasl, Susan (Dale) Karl and Connie (Roger) Karl, 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

On March 11, 1982, June married Gerhard Umnus and he died on February 22, 2006. She is also survived by his two sons, Ronald (Sharon) Umnus and John (Jodene) Umnus and extended family. She is further survived by two brothers, Melvin Woldt (Phyllis Lehman) and LeRoy Woldt, three sisters, Betty (Gordon) Metcalf, Darleen Borchardt, and Valeta Burkhardt, a sister-in-law, Audrey Telschow and many nieces, nephews and dear, dear friends.

In addition to her parents and husbands, June was preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy.

Simple words cannot convey our deep appreciation for the compassionate care to our mom and support to us. Our heartfelt thank you to Dr. Michael Claessens and Julie B. of Marshfield Clinic Health Systems and Allison F., Julie W., Brittney M., Jennifer S. and Chaplain Mark L. of Ascension Health Ministry Health Care.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established by her family at a later date.
