Arlene Louise Weinfurter

Arlene Louise Weinfurter, 77, of Milladore (Sherry), WI, passed away on August 19, 2018, from a blood and liver infection.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, August 24, 2018 at St. Kilian’s Catholic Church, Blenker, with Rev. Antony Arokiyam officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. The visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, and on Friday from 9:30 am until service time at St. Kilian’s Catholic Church. St. Kilian’s Parish Council of Catholic Women rosary service will be held at 6:30 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.

Arlene was born in Scandinavia, WI on August 13, 1941. She graduated from PJ Jacobs High School, Stevens Point, WI.

Arlene was married to Laurence (aka Larry) Weinfurter on October 26, 1963; they were married 54 years.

Arlene worked as a Lunch Site Manager for the Wood County Department of Aging for many years. She enjoyed polka dancing, square dancing, camping and traveling. She was also actively involved in volunteering at St. Vincent DePaul Thrift Store and the Parish Council of Catholic Women at St. Kilian’s Parish.  She spent her life moving to various states and countries where Larry’s Navy career took them.

Arlene is survived by her husband Larry Weinfurter; children Donna (Mike) Lenz, Greg (Gaby) Weinfurter, Shaun (Wendy) Weinfurter, Deanna (Lance) Buller, Jeff (Nicole Noonan) Weinfurter; grandchildren Chris Elsen, Josh Elsen, Ana Weinfurter, Alan Weinfurter, Molly Weinfurter, and Alex Weinfurter; and sister-in-law Lee Jensen.

Arlene is preceded in death by parents Allen and Francis Jensen, brothers Allen (aka Jim) Jensen and Henry Jensen, and sister-in-law Lenore Jensen.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
