Mildred Leora Wagner

Mildred Leora Wagner, 109, Pittsville, passed away on Friday, August 10, 2018 at Dycora Transitional Health and Living of Abbotsford.

Burial will take place at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, August 21 at Mound Cemetery, Pittsville. Buchanan/Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Mildred was born April 22, 1909, in Iowa City, Iowa to John and Joanna (Weeks) Bowman. She came to Pittsville, WI in 1920. Mildred graduated from Pittsville High School in 1926 and attended Business School in Iowa City, Iowa. She married Louis Charles Wagner in Indianapolis, Indiana on January 7, 1929. They operated a cheese factory in the Town of Cary.

Mildred worked as a bookkeeper at the Pittsville Canning Company and as a bookkeeper and teller at Pittsville State Bank. She also worked for 20 years at the Hewitt Meat Processing Plant in Lindsey.

Mildred is survived by a daughter, Phyllis (Allan) Thedens and a son, Richard (Darlene) Wagner, two grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sisters, Marguerite Rasmussen and Emma Bowman, a brother, John Bowman, and a grandson, Gary Thedens.
