Varsho to host youth basketball camp

MARSHFIELD – Marshfield’s newest girls basketball coach is hosting a youth basketball camp this fall. The Taylor Varsho 3 Basketball Camp will be held during the months of September, October, and November in the Boson Company Fieldhouse at Marshfield High School.
“This is a new event,” said Varsho. “I came up with the TV3 Fall Program to get the youth in the town of Marshfield and surrounding communities more touches and time in the gym and to improve their overall fundamental game of basketball.”
Varsho said that camp instruction will center on “drill packages, knowledge, and fundamental skills without worrying about points or games.
“The goal of this program is to create an atmosphere where the youth find a love for the game of basketball and learn what it is going to take to become a high school basketball player for programs around the community,” she said.
The camp is open to boys and girls, grades 3-8, who is a student at any area school.
This will be the first event in which Taylor takes lead instruction on since taking the position of head girls basketball coach at Marshfield High School.
“This camp is an educational experience for youth that want to elevate their fundamentals correctly where the student can take quality instruction home and teach someone else,” Varsho added.
The camp will run Sept. 8, 15, 22, 29; Oct. 6, 13; and Nov. 3, 10. To take advantage of early bird pricing, you must register by Aug. 20. For more information, contact Varsho at [email protected] or 715-204-0068.
