Letter to the Editor: Reader shows support for Becker

Dear editor,

On Aug. 14, please vote for Shawn Becker for Wood County Sheriff. I have known Shawn for 20 years. I knew him as a deputy, worked with him on numerous situations and safety trainings as principal of Lincoln HS, and have coached football with him at Lincoln for the past four years.

I can attest to his leadership, decision-making under stress, and his ability to build positive relationships with people.  He has the unique ability to see all sides of issue and make the best decision for the greater good of others and community.

It is important to choose the most qualified person and not default to voting for a candidate based on wanting a change in department leadership or political party alliance. Shawn is the most qualified person with the most leadership experience, and the person who can build bridges between people.

Vote Shawn Becker on August 14.
