Spencer library to host program on the power of protein

For Hub City Times

SPENCER – Red meat is often considered to be less nutritious than white meat and vegetarian alternatives, but what if you could find some heart-healthy recipes to add to your diet?

During “The Power of Protein: Incorporating Beef into a Healthy Diet,” Sarah Agena, consulting dietitian with the Wisconsin Beef Council, will present information about how protein helps the body and how beef can be a healthy source of it, and demonstrate a heart-healthy recipe featuring beef.

The program will be held Aug. 7 from 9-10 a.m. at the Marathon County Public Library Spencer Branch, 105 S. Park St., Spencer.

This event is free and open to the public with no registration required. For more information, call 715-659-3996 or visit https://mcpl.us/events/4809.
