Vesper water restored, not safe for consumption
By Hub City Times staff
MARSHFIELD – Running water has been restored in the village of Vesper, but village officials caution that the water is still unsafe for consumption.
The village water system came to a halt on July 24, following a water main break that discharged 10,000 gallons of water from the Vesper water tower.
Crews worked steady to repair the issue and water was restored to the village tower on July 25.
Village officials caution that the water will not be safe to drink or cook with for a couple of days.
Bottled water is being distributed at the Vesper Municipal Center until the water is safe for consumption.
A public notice was distributed to village residents providing instruction on what should be done until safe water is restored.
