July 18

Disturbance at hospital leads to multiple arrests

At 3:03 p.m., a disturbance was reported at a local hospital. A 58-year-old Arkansas man and a 33-year-old Pearson woman were the victims of a dispute with a 39-year-old Wausau man. After an investigation, it was determined that the 33-year-old woman had a warrant and was taken into custody. The 39-year-old Wausau man was also arrested for disorderly conduct, domestic related.

July 19

Man steals from his own mother

At 6:55 a.m., a 53-year-old Auburndale woman reported that her son, a 25-year-old Marshfield man, entered her vehicle and stole a backpack without her permission. The backpack was later found hanging on the outside door at her home. However, there was $900 cash missing from the backpack. Police were able to locate her son and he was arrested and charges are pending.

Motel refuses refund

At 11 a.m., a 68-year-old Genesee Depot woman reported that she had canceled a three-night stay at a Marshfield motel four months earlier; however, she was then billed for that stay anyway. She attempted to resolve the issue by contacting the motel owner. Contact attempts were avoided by the motel owner, and the woman then contacted the police so she could get her money back. Marshfield police contacted the motel owner, who stated it was a miscommunication and that he would credit the charges to the woman.

At 2 p.m., a 31-year-old Marshfield man stated that he has been getting harassed by a 39-year-old Marshfield man regarding a car crash both men were in. The two men disagreed upon the initial payment that should be made in regards to the accident. The 39-year-old was not happy with the 31-year-old and began making several unwanted phone calls and personal appearances. Police contacted the 39-year-old and instructed him to stop direct contact with the other man and that all contact should be made through his lawyer.

 

July 20

I am woman hear me roar

At 6:14 p.m., a 41-year-old Marshfield woman reported that a 35-year-old Marshfield woman was in her apartment complex yelling, threatening her, and causing a loud disturbance. The 35-year-old woman was transported to the Wood County Jail.

July 21

Dumpster diving

At 5:06 p.m., a 47-year-old Marshfield man reported to police that he has video surveillance of a red pick-up truck with a wooden bed driving onto his property on July 17 at 11 a.m. The video shows the man taking scrap metal from the Marshfield man’s dumpster. Police were able to find the suspect, and he was verbally warned for trespassing.
