MARSHFIELD – Ordinance Officer Dan Leonard has retired after serving the city of Marshfield for over 28 years.

Police Chief Rick Gramza recognized him at a July city council meeting.

“I don’t believe there is a more well-known person in our community than Dan Leonard,” said Chief Gramza. “My wife often accuses me of knowing too many people I think Dan knows all of the people and they all know Dan.

“I don’t think many of them know his last name. I usually call him Dan Dan the Ordinance Man, but in the end we have been blessed with Dan to be a very hard worker within our department.”

In retirement Dan will continue to offer dog training and will be assisting the police department in picking a replacement for one of the K9 units that will be retiring.
