Marshfield man arrested after knife threat

For the Hub City Times
MARSHFIELD – On July 20, Marshfield officers responded to the 200 block of North Spruce Street in Marshfield for a knife threat.
Police say the man had chased two social workers out of his residence with the knife and subsequently threw the knife at their vehicle.
When officers arrived, the man refused to comply with requests to drop the knife and refused to talk to officers. He eventually began deliberately walking towards two officers armed with two knives. Officers utilized less-lethal bean bag rounds and K9 “H” to defuse the situation.
Patrick J. Langreck, 52, of Marshfield, was taken into custody and transported to Wood County Jail after medical clearance.
Langreck is on probation. Four counts of recklessly endangering safety were requested with the Wood County District Attorney.
