United Way seeks backpacks and school supplies

MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield Area United Way is seeking filled backpacks to help with their annual School Supply Drive.

The annual “Supplies 4 Success” Backpack and School Supply Drive will be collecting school supplies for area children from July 23 – Aug. 5. Backpacks and schools supplies can be dropped at: Associated Bank – Marshfield and Pittsville,  BMO Harris Bank, Century 21 Realty, Citizens State Bank – Marshfield and Spencer, First Choice Credit Union, Forward Bank – Marshfield and Greenwood, Partners Bank – Marshfield, Spencer, and Stratford, MACCI, Marshfield Clinic, Menards, RiverEdge Golf Course, Simplicity Credit Union, Target – drop donations off at guest services, and TRICOR Insurance.

Donations can also be dropped off at the United Way office, 156 S Central Ave., Marshfield, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Last year, the backpack and school supply drive helped 675 children from the Marshfield, Auburndale, Granton, Greenwood, Loyal, Neillsville, Pittsville, Spencer, and Stratford school districts.

More information about the backpack and school supply drive and a list of school supplies needed for donation is available for download at the Marshfield Area United Way website, marshfieldareaunitedway.org.
