Robert C. Scherr, 82, Marshfield, passed away early on Friday, June 29, 2018 in the Emergency Room of Marshfield Medical Center.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Marshfield, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 9:00 am until service time. Rev. Samuel Martin and Rev. Daniel Sedlacek will officiate. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Robert was born on June 28, 1936 in Marshfield, the son of George and Julia (Bell) Scherr and was a graduate of Marshfield Senior High School. He also served in the Wisconsin National Guard for 8 years.

He married Angeline M. Kubs on January 14, 1961 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Marshfield and they were married for 57 years.

Bob had been employed at Sieg Auto Parts for 39 years and the at V & H Heavy Trucks for 15 years until his retirement on October 2, 2010.

He was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society.

He is survived by his wife, Angie and their son, Michael (Jody) Scherr of Marshfield. He is also survived by 2 grandsons, Joseph and Zachary Scherr. He is further survived by sisters, Rita Panske, Virginia Scherr and Sheila (Dennis) Dishinger, and sisters-in-law, Frances (Ken) Collins and Ruth and Grace Kubs.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Joseph Schroeder and Francis Scherr and a sister, Joan Stargardt.
