Marshfield UW Alumni Association awards scholarships

MARSHFIELD – The Wisconsin Alumni Association, Marshfield Chapter has awarded $7,000 in scholarships to area high school seniors who expect to attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the fall.

Three Medford High School students will receive scholarships, including: Payton Nelson, who plans to study Mechanical Engineering; Brecca Miller, who will major in Biology or Microbiology as a stepping stone to become an obstetrician; and Alec Veal, who will major in Chemical Engineering.

Three Marshfield High School graduates and one Stratford High School graduate will also receive scholarships; they are: Lilly O’Brien, who will study Biochemistry with the eventual goal of becoming a Dermatologist or Biomedical Scientist; Erica Roeglin, who will study Genetics; Meg Bryan, who is considering Biochemistry to eventually become a Pediatric Physician Assistant; and Sarah LaBorde, from Stratford High School, who will major in Business.
