UW offers college for kids program

MARSHFIELD – You can keep your kids active and engaged this summer with the College 4 Kids hosted by UW-Marshfield/Wood County, running June 25-28  from 1-4:30 p.m.

Each day consists of three interactive classes with hands-on games, projects and experiments, featuring: “Around the World” – Take a virtual trip to a different country each day. Learn greetings in other languages, try new foods, and explore the holidays from other cultures and traditions from other locations around the world; “Camping & Backpacking 101” –Hike the trails of the arboretum and set up a campsite. Learn survival and safety tips and roast marshmallows over a campfire; and “Plants and Animals” – Our world is full of amazing creatures and plant life. Take a closer look at the fascinating life around you.  Venture into the greenhouse, visit a few animal friends, and discover some unique facts about life around us.
