MARSHFIELD – Marshfield Area Parent Network (MAPN) will host “Suicide Prevention – Warning Signs, Risk Factors & Steps to Take to Save a Life” presented by Professional Counselor Lisa Miller, the Marshfield Child Advocacy Center, and Marshfield School District Student Service Staff.

Join Marshfield Clinic Health System and Marshfield Area Coalition for Youth (MACY) in collaboration with Unified School District of Marshfield and Columbus Catholic Schools from 5:30-7 p.m. on June 25, at Wildwood Station, Wildwood Park & Zoo, 1800 S. Roddis Ave., Marshfield.

Tragically, suicide is the second leading cause of death among school age youth; however, steps can be taken to prevent suicide. Marshfield Child Advocacy Center and Marshfield School District Student Services staff will present information on suicide prevention including warning signs, risk factors and steps to take to save a life. Marshfield Student Services staff will provide information about services that are available to students, and Lisa Miller will provide detailed information about what to do if a person is suffering and considering suicide as an option.

Participants will enjoy a free build-your-own ice cream sundae bar.
