May 28

Someone had an ax to grind

At 11:13 p.m., a 23-year-old employee of a Marshfield home improvement store contacted police regarding a retail theft that occurred earlier that evening. A 19-year-old Marshfield man was arrested with charges pending for the retail theft of two grinders.

May 29

Passed out woman parks on sidewalk

At 4 p.m., a Marshfield woman reported that she found a 60-year-old Marshfield woman passed out in a vehicle on the sidewalk. She took the passed out woman’s keys so she wouldn’t drive off and called police. The woman woke up and left. Police were able to locate the woman, who was intoxicated. They informed her she would not get her keys back and that she needed to find someone to come remove the car from the sidewalk.

Disorderly conduct arrest

At 6:02 p.m., a 25-year-old Auburndale woman and a 29-year-old Marshfield woman called to report a 46-year-old Marshfield man was causing a disturbance at the 29-year-old woman’s home. After an investigation, the male was taken into custody for domestic related disorderly conduct. The man was able to post bond and was released. The 72-hour no-contact was waived by the victim.

June 3

Breaking bond

At 11:17 a.m., a Marshfield man reported that his 39-year-old son had been drinking at that he was in violation of his bond. The police officer observed that the 39-year-old was intoxicated and administered a breath test. The man also had gone into a Marshfield store and stolen a bottle of liquor. The man was left in the care of his parents and was later transported to the Wood County Jail.

Shoplifter found high

At 6:37 p.m., an employee at a Marshfield pharmacy contacted police after observing a woman hiding items under her clothing. The employee also noted that the woman appeared to be under the influence of something. The suspect was taken to the local emergency room and admitted. Charges for obstruction, possession of methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia have been requested.

June 4

Lawn décor stolen

At 4:45 p.m., a Marshfield woman reported that several lawn decorations had been stolen from her home on Frey Court. The stolen items included yard dwarfs, deer ornaments, girl/boy ornaments, and flowers. No suspects at this time. Police suggested that a security camera be installed.

Man’s bike stolen while at work

At 10:27 p.m., a 28-year-old Marshfield man called to report that his bike had been stolen earlier that morning while he was at work. Through video surveillance, they were able to determine what time the bike had been stolen. The video also determined it was a male juvenile.
