Henry Rozema, 93, Marshfield, passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home, Port Edwards.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Marshfield, with Rev. Daniel Sedlacek officiating.  Burial will take place in East Lawn Cemetery in Sheldon, Iowa, at a later date. A visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Tuesday at Rembs Funeral Home and from 10:00 am until service time on Wednesday at Our Lady of Peace Church. Military rites will be conducted at the church following the service by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1866 of Marshfield.

Henry was born on July 9, 1924 in Archer. Iowa, the son of Jacob and Cornelia (Venema) Rozema. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II from October 5, 1943 until May 7, 1946. After his honorable discharge he farmed near Sanborn, IA. On December 31, 1955 he married Joann K. Bobzien in Hartley, IA. In 1979 they moved to the Marshfield area where he farmed until his retirement.

Hank enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially, pheasant.

He is survived by his wife, Joann and their children, Yvonne (Mark) Ledeboer, Jay (Marcy) Rozema, Neda Rozema and Rene Rozema. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Jason Ledeboer, Eric (Amanda) Ledeboer, Krista (Andrew) Spencer, Kamie (Chris) Pupols and Alyssa (David) Shedivy, and 6 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Edgewater Haven and Ministry Home Care Hospice.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
