MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Tigers’ baseball team ended its regular season on a down note. The Tigers lost May 24 to Wausau West 7-3. Brant Bohman led Marshfield with two singles and a run batted in. Austin Palacek and Isaiah Baierl each had an RBI.

The Columbus Dons’ baseball team ended its season May 24 with a loss to Greenwood. The Indians beat the Dons 10-2 in a WIAA Division 4 regional quarter final matchup in Greenwood.

The Indians scored a run in the first inning, but Columbus grabbed a 2-1 lead in the second inning. Greenwood came right back with three runs in the bottom half of that inning to take the lead for good.

The Indians tacked on three more runs in the fifth, and they did the same in the sixth. Trenton Klabon gave up two runs while scattering eight hits in getting the win. He also struck out six.

For Columbus, Calvin Brown went 2-for-4 with a single and a double. Bryce Fuerlinger went 2-for-3 with a pair of base hits. Evan Dieringer had a 2-for-4 day with a single, a double, and an RBI. Columbus ended its season 2-12.
