Gerald A. Braunsky

Gerald A. Braunsky, 87, Auburndale, died on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at his home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at St. Kilian’s Catholic Church, Blenker, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 am on Wednesday until service time. Rev. Antony Arokiyam will officiate. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 468 of Milladore. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Gerald was born on May 28, 1930 in Auburndale, Wisconsin to Frank and Mary (Pryatel) Braunsky. He attended schools in Auburndale and Wisconsin Rapids. He married Laurene T. Tauscher on July 17, 1954. He farmed with his wife, Laurene in Blenker, worked at the paper mill in Port Edwards and as a laborer in construction.
Jerry was a member of St. Killian’ Catholic Church, Blenker, Anti-artillery Division in the Armed Forces, The Knights of Columbus, Council #4646 of Junction City, Local 54 Labor Union, Auburndale Lions Club, Marshfield Country Club and Marshfield Senior Pool League. Jerry was an avid sports fan including hunting and fishing. He enjoyed golfing and was always ready and willing to help anyone in need.
He is survived by his wife Laurene, 2 children, Jane Braunsky of Boston, MA and Karl (Roxanne) Braunsky of Brownwood, TX, 4 grandchildren, Joshua Braunsky of Nekoosa, WI, Dr. Michael (Katy) Braunsky of Eau Claire, WI, Jason West of El Paso, TX and Frankie Lee Braunsky of Brownwood, TX, and a sister, Celia Pongratz of Delevan, WI.
He was preceded in death by sons Michael and Donald Braunsky.
