Dear readers,

Here at the Marshfield Hub City Times we are continuing to evolve in the way we bring you the news. Our latest change will come with the May 23 print edition: A larger format. We now have an 11×17 inch page format, adding five more inches onto our previous page size of 11x 12 inches.

This larger size gives us much more design flexibility, improving service to our readers of news, editorial, and advertising content. Paradoxically, the new larger size costs less, because it uses newsprint, image plates, and press time more efficiently than the old format.

This is a good time to share with you an exciting change in our editorial lineup. Effective with the May 23 issue, Kris Leonhardt is assuming the editorial leadership of the Wisconsin Rapids City Times.

Kris’ continuing presence at the Marshfield Hub City Times will be augmented by writing from Julie Schooley, the latest addition to the Marshfield staff. You can share story ideas with Julie and Kris at [email protected]

This change frees up Joe Bachman, the previous editor of the Wisconsin Rapids City Times, to helm the editorial effort of the Portage County Gazette while continuing his commitment to the Stevens Point City Times.

I am certain both Kris and Joe will make valuable contributions to our news and editorial products in these communities.
