May 9
Hit the road, Jack
At 3 a.m., a 19-year-old Marshfield woman reported that a 29-year-old Pittsville man would not leave her residence and was causing a disturbance. Officers took the man in custody, where he was cited for disorderly conduct.
One star thief steals 7 Star TV
At 9 a.m., a 68-year-old Marshfield man reported that a TV and a queen sized bed sheet had been stolen from the Seven Star Motel. A 30-year-old Marshfield man was contacted and found to be in possession of the stolen property. He was then arrested and transported to the Wood County Jail on a probation hold.
May 10
Man arrested for drug possession
At 9:26 a.m., a 49-year-old Marshfield woman reported the drug use of a 20-year-old Marshfield man on probation. A search of his residence showed multiple drug paraphernalia items and THC possession. The man was then arrested, booked, and transported to the Wood County Jail.
Sister vs. Sister
At 5 p.m., a 31-year-old Marshfield woman reported a fight between her and her 27-year-old sister. Both sisters told different stories. They were then both warned for their behavior and the 27-year-old was told to stay away from her sister’s residence.
Love Triangle
At 6:05 p.m., a 20-year-old woman reported a disturbance between herself and a 21-year-old Marshfield woman. The 21-year-old woman had shoved the 20-year-old to the ground. The 21-year-old was contacted and admitted to pushing her down due to the 20-year-old communicating with her boyfriend. She was mailed a ticket for disorderly conduct.
Love don’t cost a thing
At 7:11 p.m., a 21-year-old Spencer man reported that his now ex-girlfriend had written him a worthless check. He had accepted the check of $150 on April 30 from the 19-year-old woman, cashed the check, and gave her the $150 in cash as she claimed she could not cash checks locally. The man’s bank contacted him later letting him know the checking account had insufficient funds. Contact was made with his ex-girlfriend who claimed she didn’t know her account was low. She made arrangements to pay him back and the man asked for documentation for payments. The woman is in process of having a guardian over her finances.
May 12
Third OWI for Menomonie man
At 2:25 a.m., a Marshfield Police officer pulled over a vehicle in the Marshfield Police Department parking lot. A 26-year-old Menomonie male was driving and arrested for his third OWI offense. The passenger, a 22-year-old Owen man, was also taken into custody for an active Clark County warrant. Both males were also referred for charges of marijuana possession.
Asleep at the wheel
At 5:57 a.m., the Marshfield Police Department was notified of a vehicle stuck in the grass at Wildwood Park and Zoo. A 35-year-old Marshfield woman was found asleep behind the wheel. She had spent the night drinking then drove to the zoo, where she became stuck in the grass and fell asleep while trying to get unstuck. After being checked over by medical personnel on the scene, she failed a field sobriety test and was taken into custody for an OWI.
May 13
Driven to fight
At 8:18 p.m., a 25-year-old Marshfield woman contacted police regarding a disturbance following a driving issue. An argument between several parties led to a 38-year-old man being taken into custody for disorderly conduct. The man posted bond and charges are being requested.
Marshfield man overdoses
At 9:24 p.m., a 42-year-old Marshfield woman reported that a 23-year-old Marshfield male had possibly overdosed and was not breathing. After life-saving efforts were made by Marshfield Fire and Rescue, the man became responsive. He was then transported a local hospital. He was placed on a probation hold and was transported the Wood County Jail.
