Fundraiser nets $41K for shelter

MARSHFIELD – Over $41,500 was raised by bowlers and “Building Hope” event sponsorships, during the 10th annual “Striking Out Domestic Violence” fundraiser held at Rose Bowl Lanes on April 22.
Funds from the event are used to provide basic services, such as emergency shelter and a healing program services, at Shirley’s House of Hope. The shelter receives no government funding, with 90 percent of donations providing direct services.
