April 30

Tool box and chop saw taken

A 19-year-old Marshfield man reported that on April 27 items had been taken from his garage and vehicle. A tool box and a chop saw were reported as stolen. The man named a suspect, who was questioned and denied taking the items.

Keys taken and tires flattened

A 19-year-old Marshfield man reported that sometime between 1-5:45 a.m. his vehicle keys were taken and his tires were flat. It appears that the valve stems of the tires had been removed. The man named a suspect, who was questioned. The individual denied involvement in the incident.

Marshfield man battered and strangled by roommate

A 38-year-old Marshfield man reported that between 10-10:35 p.m. he was battered and strangled by his roommate, a 33-year-old Marshfield man. A request for charges has been sent to the Wood County District Attorney’s office.

May 2

Three musketeers steal candy bar

A Marshfield convenience store staff member reported that on May 1, at 10:30 p.m., three Marshfield 18-year-old males entered the business. Two of the males assisted the other in concealing a 3 Musketeers candy bar and all three left without purchasing the item. Citations were issued to two of the males and all three males were issued a trespassing letter not to enter any of the company’s properties in the future.

May 4

Man harasses Auburndale woman

An 18-year-old Auburndale woman reported that a 20-year-old Marshfield man, with whom she had a relationship, had been contacting her and driving by her residence; sticky notes has also been left on her vehicle. The man was issued a warning for harassment.

Senior citizen reports multiple thefts

A 73-year-old Marshfield man reported that items had been taken from his apartment. The man had contacted police multiple times for items taken. Staff has concerns over the man’s well being.

May 5

Woman reports suspected unlawful entry

A 37-year-old Marshfield woman reported that, while she was at work, a man entered her residence. She had no evidence and nothing was reported missing. The man stated that he had just returned a ladder to the upstairs neighbors, but did not go in the woman’s residence.

Vehicle is damaged

A 31-year-old Marshfield man reported that his vehicle was damaged while parked at a Marshfield restaurant. Further investigation suggests that the vehicle was struck with a blunt object three times. There are no suspects.

May 6

Marshfield woman’s vehicle is not returned

A 32-year-old Marshfield woman reported that on May 2 an acquaintance borrowed her vehicle, to help her former roommate move, and he has failed to return it. The vehicle has not been located.

Woman accused of spying

A 30-year-old Marshfield woman reported that a 31-year-old Marshfield female entered the department store where she is employed, between 10:30-10:35 a.m., to “spy on her.” Security footage confirms the female’s presence in the store, but she appears to be shopping.

Traffic stop leads to drug charges

At 5:23 p.m., Marshfield police conducted a traffic stop.  K-9 Steffi indicated the presence of a controlled substance. A 36-year-old male and a 28-year-old female were arrested for possession of THC and drug paraphernalia. Both individuals were booked and transported to Wood County Jail.

Ex-boyfriend does not return cell phone

A 49-year-old Marshfield woman reported that her ex-boyfriend would not return her cell phone that she had left at his residence. Officers attempted to make contact with the man, but could not locate him.
