MARSHFIELD – As part of an ongoing enrichment program, Wildwood Park & Zoo threw a birthday party for a couple of their most popular residents, Thunder and Star.

The Cinco de Mayo themed party, held May 5, provided the cougars with birthday treats and enrichment items in celebration of their tenth birthday, which was May 1.

The zoo’s enrichment events are planned by Zookeeper Steve Burns and longtime zoo volunteer, Pam Nikolai, whose Christmas 2016 video of the Wildwood deer enjoying a holiday feast reached over six million viewers around the world.
