Loretta J. Wilhelm, 85, Arpin, passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, surrounded by her family at House of the Dove, Marshfield.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 4, 2018 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, Rozellville, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 9:30 am until service time. Father Nathan will officiate. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Loretta was born on October 13, 1932 in the Town of Sherry, Wood County, to Claus and Orah (Stoflet) Loonstra and was a graduate of Auburndale High School. She was united in marriage to Richard J. Wilhelm on November 10, 1955 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, Rozellville, and they were married for 53 years. He died on April 19, 2009.

Loretta and her husband farmed on the family farm in Arpin until their retirement in 1988 when they sold the farm to their son Dennis. She had been a 4-H leader and enjoyed showing cattle at the fair. She also enjoyed crocheting, knitting, making quilts and playing bingo. She was an avid Packer and Brewer fan.

Loretta is survived by seven children, Rick (Dawn) Wilhelm of Wisconsin Rapids, Dennis (Bonnie) Wilhelm of Arpin, Randy (Teri) Wilhelm of Pittsville, Jim (Jan) Wilhelm of Auburndale, Jeff (Maria) Wilhelm of Birnamwood, Diane Wilhelm of Rudolph and Donna Wilhelm-Anslum (Brad Crary) of Marshfield. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and one on the way. She is further survived by a sister, Carol (Ken) LeMay of Rudolph and a sister-in-law, Margie Loonstra of Arpin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother and sister-in-law, John & Marcela Loonstra and a brother, Robert Loonstra.

The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses from Marshfield Medical Center and the House of the Dove.

Memorials may be designated to House of the Dove, Marshfield.
