April 24

Marshfield man cited for stealing two cans of beer

A 51-year-old Marshfield man entered a Marshfield convenience store on April 23 at 8:44 p.m. Surveillance footage shows the man placing two cans of beer in his pocket, before going to the register to purchase a small bottle of vodka. The man then leaves the store without paying for the beer. When the man returned to the store the following day, Marshfield officers were called. The man was located outside the store, where he was cited for retail theft. The store also stated that the man was no longer allowed on the business property.

April 26

Marshfield man violates restraining order

At 2:27 a.m., a 44-year-old Marshfield man came home from work to find a 22-year-old Marshfield man in his apartment with a 19-year-old Marshfield woman, with whom there is a restraining order. The man was booked and transported to the Wood County Jail. Charges are being requested for violating the restraining order and bail jumping.

Man tries to obtain oxycodone from Marshfield couple

At 5 p.m., a 68-year-old Marshfield man and a 65-year-old Marshfield woman reported that on April 22 a man asked them to give him oxycodone. The couple did not give the man the prescription and reported the incident for documentation.

Hit and run reported

A 32-year-old Marshfield woman reported that sometime between 5:30-6:30 p.m., her vehicle was hit by an unknown driver while parked on South Cedar Avenue. Digital photos were taken. The business where the vehicle was parked was notified and the area searched for a vehicle that was damaged. No suspects were identified at that time.

Man issued no trespassing letter for Marshfield store

A convenience store staff member reported that a man came into the business on April 22 and acted inappropriately with young female employees. The man was contacted and issued a no trespassing letter for the store.

April 27

Man arrested following domestic dispute

At 8:34 a.m., a 20-year-old Stratford woman reported that her boyfriend, a 31-year-old Stratford man, threatened to punch her during an argument. The woman said that he had physically abused her in the past and feared further abuse. Officers interviewed the man, who provided the same account of the incident, but denied the threat. The man was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and a probation hold.

Police take father into custody following altercation

At 9:23 p.m., a 25-year-old Marshfield man reported a physical altercation with his father, a 64-year-old Marshfield man. When officers arrived, they separated the two men, and the father was taken into custody. Charges are being requested for domestic battery.

April 28

Husband and wife report themselves

At 11:38 p.m., a 31-year-old Marshfield woman and her husband both reported a disturbance in which they were currently involved. When police arrived, the husband – a 33-year-old Marshfield man – was taken into custody for drug possession. The husband yelled profanities and threats at his wife. He was booked and transported to the Wood County Jail. Charges are being requested for domestic disorderly conduct, bail jumping, possession of THC and drug paraphernalia, and habitual criminality.

April 29

Garage is victim of hit and run

A 48-year-old Marshfield man reported, at 7:32 p.m., that his garage was damaged by a hit and run. Officers located the suspect’s vehicle and the driver nearby. The driver, a 19-year-old Marshfield man, was arrested and transported to the Marshfield Police Department.

April 30

Marshfield man reports damaged property

At 9:11 a.m., a 63-year-old Marshfield man reported that a window was broken on his property. Officers observed that the window was broken from the inside. The man said that the damage may have occurred the week prior when his windows were left open for a period of time.

Traffic stop leads to OWI and drug charges for Green Bay man

A 55-year-old Green Bay man was taken into custody following an 8:57 p.m. traffic stop, during which officers determined the man was driving while intoxicated. Officers also detected the strong odor of THC coming from the vehicle and items were located in the vehicle. The man was taken to the ER for a blood draw and booked. Charges for OWI and possession of THC and drug paraphernalia are being requested.
