Tiger girls soccer sees mixed results

The Marshfield Tiger girls soccer team had mixed results at the end of April – losing, winning, then tying.
The Tigers lost an April 24 showdown with D.C. Everest, 5-0, in what was switched to a nonconference matchup. The Evergreens had 36 shots on goal, compared to just four for the Tigers. Mikayla Brueggen had 16 saves in goal for the Tigers.
On April 26, Marshfield earned its first win of the year, beating Wausau East, 3-1. Nina Hashimoto had two goals for the Tigers, and Kate Schilling scored once. Courtney Meyer and Amara Arndt each had one assist. Brueggen had seven saves in goal.
On April 28, Marshfield and Ashwaubenon played to a 2-2 tie. Hashimoto scored both Tiger goals. Brueggen had 10 saves in goal.
The Tigers fell behind 2-0, but fought back at the 36:23 mark, with Hashimoto’s first goal, off an assist from Meyer. Hashimoto’s second goal came at 62:19, on an assist from Arndt.
