MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce & Industry will present “Art on the Avenue” on May 12, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., at the Holiday Inn & Conference Center, 750 S. Central Ave., Marshfield.

Formerly known as the Mother’s Day Art Fair and the Marshfield Art Fair, this 55-year old event has been rebranded and MACCI, along with the Holiday Inn, are breathing some new life into this well-established show.

After meeting with past organizers recommendations to move the show from Sunday to Saturday are being implemented, as well as a new location for this Fine Art and Fine Craft show.

MACCI’s co-sponsor of the event, the Holiday Inn Conference Center, was the perfect location to host a show of this quality.  Artists from throughout the Midwest will be selling their pieces in the ballroom and pre-function area.

At the show, you will find unique metal sculptures, cooper creations, handbags, jewelry made from gemstones, woodwork toys, baskets created from reeds, handcrafted sterling silver, copper and 14K jewelry, wearables, stained glass, paintings, photography, and wheel thrown stoneware.

For your convenience, food trucks will be selling a variety of specialties and The Rivers, adjoining the Conference Center, will offer show specials.

Art on the Avenue is free of charge and will be held in conjunction with the Marshfield Area United Way’s downtown wine walk, held from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Tickets to participate in the wine walk are available at the United Way office in early May.
