Joyce L. Kiesling
Joyce L. Kiesling, 101, Pittsville, died on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Bethel Center in Arpin.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Pittsville, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 am on Wednesday until service time. Rev. Gary Markworth will officiate. Burial will take place in Mound Cemetery, Pittsville, and grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Buchanan / Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Joyce Loretta Kiesling, was born May 10, 1916, at Cary Bluff, Wisconsin to Frank & Mabel (Covey) Minor. She attended Cary Bluff School and graduated from Pittsville High School in 1933. She was united in marriage to Ernest C. Kiesling on May 25, 1935, at the home of her parents in Cary Bluff.
Joyce joined St. John’s Lutheran Church, Pittsville, in December 1935. She farmed with her husband, did occasional bookkeeping and babysitting until she was employed by the Pittsville School District in 1953 in the custodial department. She retired from the school in December 1976. She and her husband provided a home for foster children for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed canning, baking, playing cards, and visiting with anyone who dropped by for coffee.
She is survived by daughter, Marge (Evan) Johnson and son, Gerald (Bonnie) Winch, 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 6 great, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Bernice Guenther and Leah Wegner and husband Ernie, on May 1, 2005.
