Windy Hill shares tax cuts with employees
For Hub City Times
MARSHFIELD – Windy Hill Foliage, Inc., a Marshfield transportation company, recently gave each of their employees a bonus of up to $1,200 as a result of the Tax Savings Plan passed by Congress last December.
Staff members say that is typical of the family-owned business, as the Shortt family is noted for supporting local and national charities, noting that after hurricanes hit Texas, Florida, and Puerto Rico last year, the Shortt family challenged their employees to a charity drive and pledged to match employee’s contributions dollar-for-dollar.
Windy Hill joins larger companies, such as Walmart, Comcast, and Wells Fargo, in sharing their tax cuts benefits with employees.
