MARSHFIELD – Food for Thought 2018 will be held April 7 from 6-9 p.m. at the University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County, featuring a variety of appetizers, soups, salads, entrees, and desserts prepared and donated by volunteer chefs.

This annual University Foundation fundraiser has brought together fabulous food, magnificent entertainment, spectacular auction items, and hundreds of campus friends for the past 17 years.

“The event allows us to highlight the talent of local chefs while supporting education in our community,” said Marsha Oberg, chef coordinator.

New this year, craft beers and fine wines are being paired with the gourmet foods. Throughout the evening, guests can also bid in the silent auction or take part in basket raffles. Entertainment features vocal performances from current and former UW-Marshfield/Wood County students.

“We’re very proud of our students and alumni, and we’re delighted to showcase their musical talents,” said Roxie Wetterau, foundation director and event coordinator.

Proceeds from the event fund scholarships, undergraduate research, and professional development.
