Norman L. Brown, 81, Marshfield, passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Marshfield Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Rembs Funeral Home, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 am on Saturday until service time. Rev. Mark Krueger will officiate.

Norman was born on February 13, 1937 in Waupaca to Palmer and Ruth (Jensen) Brown. He married Paulette J. Montgomery and they later divorced. He married Carol J. Rust on December 22, 1979 and she died on February 27, 2012.

Norman was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving 6 years until his honorable discharge. He was employed as a salesman, carpenter, bartender and his later years were spent working for Marshfield Foods driving truck and Marshfield Bus Company.

Norman enjoyed fishing and camping at Sand Lake, where he grew up, visiting family and watching old movies. The last years of his life he resided at his house on Cherry Street. He also lived with his step daughter, Sandy and his son, Nels. The last 4 years were spent at Atrium Post Acute Care in Marshfield.

He is survived by his children, Nels (Lori) Brown, Jamie (Holly) Brown, all of Marshfield, Shannon (Robin) Brown of Arpin and Scott (Amy) Brown of Blair. He is also survived by stepchildren, Linda (Jim) Nitz of Ortonville, MN, Mike (Candee) Rust of Mosinee, Sandy (Mike) Wilkins of Olathe, Kansas, and David (Candace) Rust of St. Louis Park, MN. He is further survived by 18 grandchildren and a brother, Bob (Marlene) Brown of St. Paul, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a sister, Marjorie in infancy and another sister, Doris Stark.

The Brown and Rust family would like to thank the staff of Atrium Post Acute Care for the wonderful care during the last 4 years.
