SPENCER –Auditions will be held for the Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) production of Jack and the Beanstalk, April 2 from 4-6 p.m. on the stage of the LuCille Tack Center for the Arts (LCTA), Spencer.

Among the roles to be cast are: Jack, Mother, Milky White, the Magic Harp, farmers, merchants, the Giant, Jill, circus performers, and Wonder Beans.  Students in grades K-10 are encouraged to audition and no advance preparation is necessary. Assistant directors will also be selected to help with rehearsals and take on essential backstage responsibilities.

MCT touring productions arrive complete with costumes, scenery, props, and makeup. MCT actors and directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week from 4-8:30 p.m. each day. This will be the 21st collaboration between MCT and the Tack Center.

Jack and the Beanstalk will be presented on April 7, with shows at 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Those auditioning should plan to remain for the full two hours. Some of those chosen will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition.
