Two arrested on drug charges near Neillsville

NEILLSVILLE – On March 9, the Clark County 911 center received a call stating that a purse was taken in Fairchild, and that the caller was following the vehicle going east on State Hwy 10 headed toward Neillsville.
A Clark County Sheriff’s Office sergeant located the vehicle and stopped it west of Neillsville on State Hwy 10, by River Ave. The Loyal Police K-9 Unit was requested to assist. The sergeant made contact with the driver, Samantha J. Waterbury, 24, MN, and her passenger, Dominic L. Koch, 24, St. Croix Falls.
The couple denied being in Fairchild and stated they were coming from Hudson. They also told the sergeant that there weren’t any drugs or weapons in the vehicle.
The K-9 unit arrived and upon searching the vehicle, a total of 38.5 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 1.8 grams of marijuana (THC), and drug paraphernalia were found. There were also eight cell phones, one computer, and two iPads found in the vehicle. The missing purse was not located.
Waterbury is being charged with possession with intent to deliver, possession of THC and drug paraphernalia, and obstruction. Koch is being charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession with intent to deliver narcotics, and obstruction.
They are both currently being held in the Clark County Jail. Waterbury is being held under a $500 cash bond and Koch is currently being held under a probation hold and a $20,000 cash bond.
