Carol A. Rothfusz, 57, Marshfield, passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at her home.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Marshfield, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 9:00 am until service time. Rev. Peter Ruggles will officiate. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Carol was born on November 1, 1960 in Eau Claire, to Gerald and Jean (Eckert) Bridges and was a 1979 graduate of Regis High School, Eau Claire. She also was a 1983 graduate of St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing, Marshfield. She was united in marriage to Ronald R. Rothfusz, M.D. on August 22, 1987 in Eau Claire.

She spent many years working as a nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Carol devoted numerous hours to volunteering at both Grant Elementary School and Marshfield High School. Her hobbies included hunting, fishing, and gardening. She was also an avid reader.

Carol is survived by her husband, Ron and their children, Emily Rothfusz and Brittany Rothfusz, both of Madison and Luke Rothfusz of Marshfield. She is also survived by her mother, Jean Bridges of Weston and her sister, Diane (John) Shope of Schofield.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Bridges, and her maternal aunt, Agnes Eckert.

Memorials may be designated in Carol’s name to the American Cancer Society.
