Nancy (Hughes) Bymers, 61, went to heaven on Saturday, March 10, 2018 with her family by her side.

Nancy was born on June 7, 1957 to William and Lucille (Gotz) Hughes in Marshfield, Wisconsin.  Nancy attended Columbus High School.  Nancy married the love of her life, Gary Bymers on October 4, 1980.  Gary and Nancy were soul mates and enjoyed many adventures together.

They were blessed with three children Eric, Becky, and Kelly.  Nancy was a wonderful mom, who was proud of the children she had raised.  Nancy’s favorite thing to do was being at home with her family.  She cherished every second spent with them whether it was watching Badger basketball games, cooking in the kitchen, or just staying up late laughing together.  Time spent together was always time well spent.  She was blessed to see some milestones that were very important to her including meeting her first two grandchildren, Hadlee and Breckin, and watching her youngest daughter marry the love of her life.  Her family always knew how to brighten her day.

Nancy worked at the Marshfield Clinic for 39 years.  She enjoyed caring for patients and she took great pride in her work.  She also enjoyed spending time with friends, taking vacations, growing her beautiful gardens and playing with her grandbabies.  Nancy also had a special place in her heart for all animals.  She loved her cat Tucker, her dog Buddy, and her llamas.

Nancy fought a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer for three years.  She was a true testament of bravery and love.  She lived every day “one day at a time” and made sure she lived it to the fullest.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 16^th at Immanuel Lutheran Church, in Hewitt, with Pastor Dean Pingel officiating.  Visitations will be held on Thursday, March 15^th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Rembs Funeral Home and from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 16^th at Immanuel Lutheran Church, in Hewitt.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Gary Bymers and their children, Eric (Kaitlyn) Bymers of Barneveld, Becky (Dustin) Follen of Marshfield, and Kelly (Jon) Geiger of Marshfield, and by her two grandchildren, Hadlee Bymers and Breckin Follen.  She is further survived by her mother Lucille Hughes of Marshfield, brother Jim Hughes of Marshfield, sister Sandy (Jeff) Schlinsog of Cedarburg, brother-in-law Gene Bymers of Marshfield and sister-in-law Romelle Bymers of Marshfield.  She was preceded in death by her father, William Hughes, father-in-law Norman Bymers and mother-in-law Norma Bymers.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the oncology staff who cared for her.

In lieu of flowers the family will designate a memorial in Nancy’s name.
