Event highlights Marshfield health career programs

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Mid-State Technical College hosted a Spotlight on Health Careers at its Marshfield campus on Feb. 28. The free, open-house style event gave high school students, parents, and community members a chance to tour the campus and explore hands-on demonstrations of Mid-State’s health programs.
Attendees also learned about recent program updates and dual credit opportunities, and met with faculty.
Degree programs highlighted at the event included Emergency Medical Technician, Nursing, Nursing Assistant, Respiratory Therapist, Medical Assistant, Central Service Technician, Surgical Technologist, and Phlebotomy Technician, as well as the new Medical Laboratory Technician program starting fall 2018.
