February 21
Fantasy game piece stolen
A 57-year-old Marshfield man reported that between 8-10 a.m. on Feb. 20, a fantasy game piece that he ordered had been delivered from EBay and that his mother had retrieved the package immediately. The package had a slit large enough to remove the item, which may have been stolen.
Back window of vehicle damaged
A 49-year-old Marshfield woman reported that sometime between Feb. 20 at 2 p.m. and Feb. 21 at 5 a.m., the rear window of her vehicle was damaged while parked at a Marshfield apartment complex. A neighborhood canvas, including all apartments in the building with a window facing the parking lot where that vehicle was parked, was completed. There are no leads at this time.
Man arrested for OWI and IID
At 8:54 p.m., a 28-year-old Marshfield man was observed driving on West 14th Street. A registration check reflected no vehicle associated with it, and the driver’s operating license had been revoked. After a stop was initiated, officers observed the odor of intoxicants and the driver also had blood shot eyes. The man admitted to drinking. A standard field sobriety test was administered and the driver was arrested for OWI and failure to install an IID. The man submitted to a legal blood draw and was released to a sober adult.
February 22
Woman hit with a can of soda
Between 12:30-1 p.m., a 41-year-old Marshfield woman reported that she was struck with a can of soda at a North Central Avenue home. A 38-year-old Marshfield man was arrested and transported to the Wood County Jail. Charges are being requested though the Wood County District Attorney’s office for battery and disorderly conduct – domestic abuse.
Man takes Bluetooth ear piece
At 1:40 p.m., a Marshfield department store staff member reported that a 31-year-old Marshfield man stole a Bluetooth ear piece. The man was arrested and transported to the Wood County Jail. Charges are being requested through the Marathon County District Attorney’s office.
Man gains entry to home
At 8:58 p.m., a 32-year-old Marshfield woman reported that her boyfriend, a 31-year-old Marshfield man, was intoxicated and breaking items in her home. When officers arrived, they observed that the boyfriend had smashed the window of the exterior door to gain entry. The man was arrested for a probation hold and transferred to the Wood County Jail, after refusing to comply with booking procedures. Charges are being requested though the Wood County District Attorney’s office.
Man disregards restraining order
Between 10-10:18 p.m., a 42-year-old Marshfield man reported that a 49-year-old Marshfield woman was out of control at his North St. Joseph’s Avenue residence. After an investigation, the reporting man was arrested for disorderly conduct – domestic abuse, as well as misdemeanor bail jumping for a court ordered no contact with the female. The man was arrested and transported to the Wood County Jail.
February 23
Hit and run reported
A 56-year-old Marshfield man reported that sometime between 7:50 a.m. and 5:10 p.m., his unoccupied vehicle was damaged while parked in the Marshfield Medical Center parking lot. The van had a dent in the rear lift gate. No paint transfer was discovered and no video surveillance was available. There are no suspects at this time.
Relationship hits a wall
A Marshfield woman reported that sometime between 9-9:15 p.m., her 39-year-old boyfriend had taken her cell phone and threw it at the wall following an argument. The man was arrested for disorderly conduct – domestic abuse and taken to the emergency room for medical clearance. Charges are being requested through the Wood County District Attorney’s office.
February 24
Man charged for OAR, IID failure, and three counts of bail jumping
At 1:37 a.m., a traffic stop was initiated at the 200 block of South Central Avenue. A 30-year-old Marshfield man was taken into custody on OAR and IID failure to install. The driver also had three open cases in Wood County Court. Three counts of misdemeanor bail jumping are being requested through the Wood County District Attorney’s office.
Marshfield woman struck twice
A Marshfield woman reported that between 4-4:12 a.m., during an argument with a 49-year-old Marshfield man, the man struck her in the face two times. The man was arrested for disorderly conduct – domestic abuse. The man posted bond and was released.
February 25
Woman attempts to steal items
Between 12:45-12:55 p.m., a Marshfield department store staff reported that a female attempted to exit the store without paying for several items. When staff approached, the woman fled into a Ford Taurus, possibly gold in color. Video surveillance was obtained and the investigation continues.
Point man apprehended after foot chase
Sometime between 1:45-2:04 p.m., a Marshfield department store staff member noticed an individual cutting packaging and concealing items. The suspect fled the store and was tracked to a local hotel, out the back door, and through a grocery store, before being apprehended. The 42-year-old Stevens Point man was arrested and charges are being requested through the Wood County District Attorney’s office for retail theft, obstruction, misdemeanor bail jumping, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
